Peel Vase Collection x Alcova at Salone del Mobile

The Peel Vase Collection was launched at Alcova during the Salone del Mobile 2021 in Milan, Italy. The location of the design event in the Inganni district of Milan was in a former 19th century nunnery and cluster of buildings, including a former industrial laundry and temple built to serve the nearby military hospital, now partly taken over by vegetation and preserved in a state of semi-abandonment. The Peel Vase Collection, a collaborative project between Marcela Trejo and Alyssa Lewis, was presented in the Tempio Building surrounded by green areas, which invited visitors from all over the world to view and experience the vases in person. The vase collection was placed on stacked clay bricks of diverse lengths and heights, resembling the original red tiled flooring in the room and the raw qualities of the space. Alcova is a project by Studio Vedet and Studio Caviar.
